About Me
I’m a 40(ish) mom who lives in California (in the San Francisco Bay Area). I have wonderful partner whom I want to marry, if it ever becomes — and stays — legal. We have a beautiful, active 3-year old son who keeps us on our toes. I work as an Employee Benefits/HRIS Analyst for a large company in San Francisco.
I grew up in the Washington, DC, area. I spent three years in Germany in the 80s, serving in the US Army. I spent three years living in north Florida and I moved to California in 1998. I’ve been here since, mainly in the Bay Area but with a three-year (hmm, a theme) stint in Los Angeles.
My interests are wide and varied — politics, music, Broadway musicals, Manchester United Football Club, the Washington Redskins, reading (novels and biographies) and movies, to name a few. I’ve been something of a political junkie ever since arguing with my father about politics when I was a child.
I despise political correctness; I think it’s taken too much out of the debate. That doesn’t mean I enjoy things or words that are offensive; I don’t.
